I’d say so. He emerged as a nation during the Positivistic
period, which is a fancy term for the rise of the natural sciences. They denounced
divine knowledge + anything to do with the supernatural, and believed that
everything could be explained, solved, or cured with science.
So, given the extremely high
likelihood that Germany has learned about his early foundations, he’s probably
either repressing knowledge of his reincarnation (assuming that he was), or he simply doesn’t
believe/ acknowledge it. I’ll get into the psychology of this with another
theory, because there’s quite a bit of evidence indicating that both Italy and
Germany are repressing memories of their child selves.
Anyways, there’s plenty of strips that demonstrate Germany’s obsession with scientific explanations. First, with Italy’s curl, and then with ghosts.
