Did you send this to multiple blogs? I already saw this in my dash.

I get what you’re saying, I really do. But I also think that
you’ve set yourself up for disappointment. The expectations you’ve set up for
Hetalia were never meant to be met in the first place. It’s one thing if
Hetalia was based on a premise of historical and cultural accuracy, but it isn’t.
It’s based on stereotypes and poking fun at their inaccuracies.

By definition, stereotypes are inaccurate and exaggerated,
even though there may be partial truths behind them.

I’ve said this before, but to come to Hetalia expecting historical
accuracy is like going to McDonald’s and expecting a three-course meal. You can’t really get irritated for not finding something in a place where it was never meant to
be found.

Obviously, this shouldn’t be taken as a blanket statement defending Hetalia in its entirety. It’s had its fair share of faults and legitimate controversies.

Anyways, I’ve done more in-depth posts on this if you’d
like to give them a read-through!
