Hey I love your Hetalia theories! Do you think you could do one about America pretending to act childish and pretending to be a hero? It’s been shown that he only chooses not to read the atmosphere and he’s jealous of Canada’s ability to be liked. Do you think his personality is all an act? Maybe to hide his true thoughts or feelings? Is he smarter than we’re led to believe? And why would he act the way he does if it really is an act? Also, why is he obsessed with being a hero?

Yes, I can definitely do that, but boy is that ever a complicated answer. It’s actually relevant to a lot of what I’m learning though! Fair warning, this is going to be a very leftist opinion.

Are you still doing the serial killer thing? It was really interesting.

Yes I will, sorry! Just like my fics, I have rough drafts, but I don’t have enough time to put them together. I took most of my mandatories this semester, so Uni has effectively been killing me. I honestly don’t know how I’m still managing to post daily content, it’s a struggle and rush every day xD

Anyways, next semester will be better, so I’ll not only update the serial killer AU weekly, but my fics will be pumped out much quicker too 🙂 Now, if you excuse me, I have three 12-14 page papers to do research for!

Save me from depression save me from hell oh mother my grades are gonna be more rotten than a dell— yes I’m hysteric because I’m going to 100% guaranteed fail my maths test tomorrow and I’m don’t want to but I know I will

I’m in the same situation as you 😦 (is currently writing a 16 page paper).

Just push through and try not to think about it as you study because then it just makes things worse. Study the best that you possibly can; that’s all. My mentality is that whatever sticks, sticks 🙂 Good luck!

Hey, I wanted to tell you I love your writing. Your theories and fanfiction particularly. I first read Detention Games and loved it. It’s why I was sceptical at first of When Red meets Violet-someone I only know from Humor writing such a deep story? But it was way better than I hoped. A serious adaption of dark themes and more plot than romance, unlike what the summary implied. I don’t think I’m going to read the prequel though; sometimes stories are just enough without other installments.

Hi! Thank you 😀 (Although ah, old story) Oh yeah, if you know me, my life isn’t all that great, and I cope with humour lol. I was very careful with how I treated the writing of When Red Meets Violet – the humor was just there to make Gillian seem more real. Also, on the romance: I didn’t want to fall into the “if I have a man, then I’ll be cured” trope. Matt was Gillian’s bestfriend. He didn’t save her; he acted as her support and helped her confront her past.

On the sequel, Green Skies Ahead isn’t really a prequel to When Red Meets Violet. It focuses on Isabel (fem! Spain) and her eating disorder (influenced by my own experience). The tie to When Red Meets Violet is that you get to see small glimpses of Gillian one year before her assault, as well as the early stages of Rodereich’s (2p! Austria) and Elizabeta’s unhealthy relationship. Gillian’s much more willing to use words such as “slut” or “whore” without really knowing the meaning of them.

You’ll see that I use the nyos to write about primarily gender-specific experiences.

I like your theory about England not being able to swim, though I always thought that it was because in the past it was considered unlucky for a sailor to be able to swim (the idea being that you couldn’t cheat the sea).

There’s plenty of other reasons for this, but I like yours too!

Some others would be the fact that there weren’t lifeboats, most of the sailors were urbaners and didn’t have access to bodies of water, or even the belief that water held diseases and would kill you either way.

Why can’t England swim?

Most people think that it’s because a lot of characters in
British movies are unable to swim. That doesn’t make much sense to me, as it
doesn’t explain why he didn’t learn to beforehand. I see it more as a metaphor
for his own arrogance.

England thought very highly of his royal navy, and we know
full well that he loves to gloat. Because of his self-perceived “invincibility”
on the waters  – yes, I’m referring to one of his character songs, sue me – he probably
didn’t feel the need to learn how to swim.
