Thank you š Haha yes, itās stuck!Ā Heās all proud that Iām bragging about him and was a good sport about the duck hunting meme.Ā
Him: Most guys want to send dick pics. Meanwhile, I send duck pics.Ā
Me: *deep sigh*
Donāt feel bad, dude. I donāt really care what youāre here for, just that youāre here and are enjoying yourself šĀ
He knows about the blog and you guys. He gets so confused lol. My phone goes off a lot because of notifications and new asks :pĀ
Iāll slowly introduce him to Hetalia. Itās not something I want to rush.Ā
Him, even more confused: What doesĀ āthis universe Matā mean?
Me: Oh, you know. Like thereās this character named Mathieu in the webcomic I read….
Him: What comic again?Ā
Me: Oh you know, haha, the political one.Ā
Him: *automatically loses interest.*
Heās not big on politics lmao. I have to fight him to watch my daily news shows on his PS4. We can watch three hours straight of Azerrz but nooooo. God forbid I want to watch the all dreaded news.Ā
Youāre not going to like this answer but itās a messy process. I find it unrealistic to expect that the major you decide at 18 is something you have to stick with. Itās totally normal to switch majors; I know someone whoās switched their major three times. Some deciding factors would be the types of jobs you want to work in and finding subjects that interest you.
Electives are a great opportunity to expose yourself to potential interests. If you take mandatory courses in first year that are initially electives, itās easier to switch majors! My backup was initially psych, so I took the two mandatory first year courses as electives.
Mood.Ā
Thank you. Itās my pleasure ⤠Iām always happy when people can take something from my posts.Ā
Iām an indecisive person with diverse interests. Criminology is multi-disciplinary, including disciplines like sociology, feminism, biology, psychology, etc. Itās also diverse in the sense that you can do a lot with the degree afterwards.Ā
LOL. Mathewās blond with green/blue eyes. He doesnāt play hockey but he drives a truck, goes hunting, smokes a lot, wears plaid and timberland boots, lives in the country, and has a Quebecois accent.Ā
Nothingās official yet but it does look like weāre heading in that direction. I wouldnāt have told you guys otherwise š
Itās really funny. Heās an extraverted outdoors person, and
Iām an introverted indoors person. We have similar indoor
interests but likeā¦we have so many whacky/ endearing moments where we clash
too.
*sitting in his truck, holding hands, having a nice moment*
Him (casually): Do you want to see the dead duck I hunted
this morning?
Me: What?! NO!
Him: But itās pretty!
Me:
Thanks guys ā¤Ā
My sinuses and immune system are just weak and annoying. I always catch a 24 hour bug when I go to another personās house for the first time haha.
Anon: Thank you ⤠Sending my cringy but well-intentioned vibes your way as well!Ā Ā
@justanotheraccountpassingby Thank you so much š Uh idk dude. I just read and write a lot. The more you write, the better you get. Itās as simple as that.
Reading helps more with your comprehension and analytical skills. You tend to find more connections if you read a source multiple times. Your analytical skills also improve the more you summarize and paraphrase material for school essays and the like.Ā
As for critical thinking (at least for what I do in this blog), that would involve learning how to become an active vs a passive reader. When I read stuff, I always jot down notes, write memos to myself, and mark out short blurbs outlining key concepts/ themes. It makes it easier to break things down later when you have to analyze it. The same would apply to any other media/ source of information tbh.
I love how you differentiated between mistakes and āmistakes.ā Pretty counter-productive when people are coming to this series expecting historical accuracy when itās based on a model of stereotypes (obviously not to be confused with cultural sensitivity ^^).
A year back when I uploaded a RusAme one-shot to tumblr for
the first time, I was shocked to find that three people had already liked the
post within the first five minutes. To give context, three follows/ favourites
a week was standard on ff.net.
Given that it was 9000 words, it would have been impossible
for them to have finished reading it. Itās the fact that they liked it just because they wanted
to support me which was incredibly moving and uplifting.
Ones I always go back to:
FMA brotherhood, Bleach, and Soul Eater.
I would also say Code Geass but I canāt bring myself to go through that trauma again.Ā
One time in grade 12, my friend and I got lost on a mountain
during a field trip. We were so far off the trail that we had to be rescued by
a park ranger with a zipline. By the time we made it back to the tour bus,
everyone started clapping really loudly to commend us for how fucking stupid we
were.
Iāll never forget receiving a call from my geography
teacher.
Me: Hello?
Him: Ariella?! Are you with Jasmine?
Me: Yeah, why?
Him: THE WHOLE TOUR BUS HAS BEEN WAITING FOR AN HOUR.
Me: Ohā¦Ā
Him:Ā Where
are you?!
Me: I donāt know? We just found a waterfall with a set of swings nearby. I guess we lost track of timeā¦
Park ranger in the background: Yeah, theyāre really far awayā¦
Him: *incoherent Greek swearing*
*cut to our punishment of him holding our wrists for the whole
time we visited the aquarium*
Four years later and
he still mocks me about this on Facebook.
Itās very difficult with school and work. I have burned out several times, but Iāve found a way around it, even though Iām still sleep-deprived ¾ of the time haha. I change things up by writing different series on the blog.Ā
Iām also looking forward to graduation.
Ā As Iām sure most of you know already, when youāre a student, youāre working more than full-time. Itās your day and night job. You donāt get to shut off. So I guess in a way this blog and participating in the Hetalia fandom and engaging with wonderful people lets me clock off for a bit⦠I just have so many ideas that I donāt have time for, so this will have to do for now šĀ
