I was fiddling around in the library at my university in between classes and found it through a database. It was out of curiosity, but I was very pleased that it turned up in the results!

I’m on the fence.

Perhaps Hetalia alone would have been enough, but given the fact that 1) it originally focused on the axis powers 2) Hetalia is provocative in nature 3) the name changes depending on the time period it covers (e.g., Hetalia World Stars), I’m not wholeheartedly inclined to say the title is in poor taste.

Historical narratives do actually frame it as Italy betraying the central powers by siding with the entente in WWI.

Anon 1: Thank you for your kind words. I’ll just have to put a note in my ask guidelines about those kind of ships explicitly stating that I don’t approve of them.

Anon 2: I’m not discouraged, no worries! I’m a multi-shipper, so as long as the dynamic is written well, I’ll be into it. I’d just like to reiterate that I really have no problem writing about other ships for you guys, so long as I can find evidence or interactions in canon that would be of use.

If I’m mean for condemning an incest ship, then so be it. I try to be accommodating, but not when it comes to something like that. I don’t condone harassment, though. Just ignore people who are into stuff that you don’t like. A blacklist extension for tumblr is very effective if you’re particularly sensitive to it.

Anon 3: Couldn’t have said it any better myself. I don’t get too many asks like that, but sometimes people are a bit demanding and impatient, expecting that I’ll do whatever post they want me to create.

Nonetheless, I accept the majority of asks. It just takes me five centuries to get to them, so I apologize for that. I’m incredibly appreciative of everyone’s engagement and support.

Okay, that’s that! I’d like to begin getting to longer requests soon 🙂

You didn’t have to be so mean with the gif response, nor do your followers. I get it if you don’t like it, but it is very unfair if you do others in your series and ignore certain ones just because you are morally against it. We are part of the fandom too, we don’t deserve such scorn.

This is not about not liking a ship; it’s disapproving of
incest. The fact that I even have to say this is mind boggling to me. I’m respectful of other people’s ships even if I don’t
particular favor it in any other scenario. I’ve even done posts about pairings
that I don’t particularly ship but do so because I appreciate my followers and
am happy to provide them with tools to create.

On the other hand, what prompted the deliberately
rude response is that those ships involve confirmed biological brothers. Perhaps
I shouldn’t have just answered that ask, but this is also my blog: I’m free to
voice my opinion as are my followers who commented.

If you don’t like it or can’t consolidate the reasons why I
did this, please unfollow my blog. Thank you for your time.

I confuse a lot of people lmao. You’d never guess it.

But I am a mixed child. My dad’s primarily Polish and Hungarian, but there are traces of Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, and Romanian heritage, and my mom’s Guyanese-Indian.

Fictional “global buddies” that are oversexualized and romanticized.

THEY ALL HAVE SPARKLES WHAT DO YOU MEAN.

It’s not a weird ask, no worries.

I hate that I have to use this disclaimer, but this is coming from someone who is half-Jewish.

This is something I’ve emphasized many times before: historical situation and accuracy does not equate to promoting a horrid ideology.

Just the mere depiction of Nazis doesn’t inherently mean that you’re glorifying what they stand for. You’re being historically accurate. If that was the case, then all Hollywood movies depicting Nazis would be ousted and boycotted.

From what I can see, you’re taking great lengths to cover the topic with conscious sensitivity and accuracy, so I wish you all the best in your future work (uh…this was sent in a long time ago, so I don’t know if you uploaded it yet ^^)

Two reasons. I’ve been studying a lot of grammar, writing,
and literature lessons lately, so I can improve for the better. I keep them up
there and don’t intend to delete them, but my old fics always serve as an embarrassment
for me

(not to mention how dramatic, emotional, and obnoxious the author’s notes were). I know it’s irrational, but even my writing from April is embarrassing to
me.

I’m also just extremely burnt-out. School, moving, renovating,
career, and other life responsibilities have tuckered out my brain. The routine
of it has left me craving for change rather than working all day. I’ve done
some relaxing to treat myself, such as reading more of Oscar Wilde or re-watching
some anime, but I still haven’t been able to dedicate a full day without work
since I began my undergrad. I’m stubborn, so I’m sure I’ll get through this rut
eventually.

It’s unfortunate, but this is
true.

@imsinkingtodeephelp That’s a cute thought 🙂 but I don’t think that any creator would wait 12+ years to have their big reveal, let alone expect their series to last that long.

I’m poor lol. It’s not just potatoes though. I also have almonds and peanut butter, but I do eat the same meals every day.

Pet peeves about Hetalia fans?

Again, these mildly agitate me. It’s not like I’m fuming and
foaming at the mouth lol. There’s much more positivity these days than there is anything negative.

1)  Why is there so much cluelessness and misinformation
spread when 95% of the answers can be found on google? Hetarchive literally has
100s of wiki pages dedicated to making this information available. I can guarantee you that most of your
questions can be answered this way.

2)  On top of information, most of the manga is easily
accessible on the internet—again, a round of applause and
gratitude for Hetarchive. Ignorance isn’t
an excuse.

3)  Why does the mere fact of someone not liking
your ship personally offend you? Just leave them be. You don’t have to defend
your ship to them nor do you have to force it.

4)  Opinions on fanworks are always going to differ.
Accept that and move on. People are entitled to their opinions. What they aren’t
entitled to is making accusations with no substantiation or sending personal
attacks to fans of certain works/ ships. That’s unacceptable.

Be kind. We’re bound by our love for Hetalia. To the best of your ability try not to let the different reasons you love it divide this fandom into opposing factions.

Anon 1: Well, it’s either I take summer courses, or I take five mandatory courses in one semester (I’d die). I’m doing a student placement program that counts as a whole semester, so I didn’t have much of an option.

Believe me, I’m still upset that I had to give up a third of my summer for this D:

Anon 2: Thank you

😘

Anon 3: Best of luck when your grades come in and thank you!
